Dear David and forum friends,

Isabella seems to have stress symptoms just now so maybe she won't be interested
for awhile in doing anything between our forum and her website.

Yes, Ben and I had a very good time, mostly because we made up minds that we would. It was an interesting experience because there was a very strong north wind
blowing most of the time. I noticed it was coming from the south swaying the coconut palms on the night we arrived. However, that same night the wind
switched and the weather didn't stabilize again for the next two weeks. The day
we left it was still blowing lightly from the north but there was full sunshine
.

Ben became so determined that he was going to get his ocean swimming in that for
at least eight days he was the only one on the beach, and the only swimmer in the water. He's a competent swimmer and knows the ocean at that place so he
was fine and enjoyed himself while under water, but not when above it in the
brisk air.

I would say that we had one day of full sunshine and two of partial sunshine when it was warm enough to bask in the sun in a sheltered spot. All other days were windy and chilly. Those three sunning days seemed to me to make up for Dear David,

Yes, we had a very good time. It was an interesting experience because there was a very strong north wind blowing most of the time. I noticed it from the south blowing through the coconut palms the night we arrived. That night it
switched and the weather didn't stabilize for the next two weeks. The day we left it was still blowing lightly from the north but there was full sunshine.

While we were there most days were rather chilly with that north wind, and
the skies were grey. Several nights the windows rattled violently, doors slammed regularly throughout the hotel as gales passed from one end of a suite to the
other through the glass door and the hall entrance door, or the bathroom window.
The wind was quite violent and it whistled and whined and made all kinds of loud noise, so loud that we couldn't hear the high surf just below. Two days of sun and cloud and one whole day of sunshine made up for the three day honeymoon we spent in Toronto in the depths of winter with icy winds coming in from Lake Ontario fifty years ago. At least this time we didn't need to stay in bed most of
the time to stay warm! ;-> Yeah, honeymoons, and fiftieth honeymoons are lovely times....

When there was any sun we basked in a sheltered garden beside the pool which was
much colder than the ocean. There was a wide artificial waterfall that provided
"white noise" for privacy, and a nice hot tub which Ben enjoyed after each of his ocean swims.

Love, Mary
