Ode To The Early Afternoon(个人原创诗歌)
Ode To The Early Afternoon
A cuckoo-bird came to rest on the red soil, Fluttering her wings from time to timeAlong the slope of grass at my feet, She walked gracefully, absent-mindedly
Like an arrogant, gorgeous princessShe lifted and nodded her cute headAnd pecked into the grassAs she inched cautiously towards me
A ray of sunshine filtered throughThe thick leaves on her backLike golden beans scatteredBreezes lifted up her shining, smooth hair
Suddenly she stopped and stood still, Raised her head, looked up into my eyesHer look so innocent, so surprisedSeemingly only then did she find my existence
I turned my eyes away, pretending to concentrate onthe book at my handIn case she was startled away
A second, I turned back, Trying to give her another glance, Only to findShe was there,no more
