A Toast to usher in the Year of the Rat.
Dear Forum Friends,
It is over seven years now that I have the priviledge of participating in this forum. It was started by Canuck my brother in law, and he is more like a brother to me. Through this forum I have been able to get a glimpse of the real China, not the one a tourist would usually see. I have met many people and some have become true friends. I can not mention them all but I will mention a few, Dove, whom I later met in Denmark, Angie who now lives in Germany with her husband, Flyheart, PanPanPan, Neil in Calgary, Tim in Texas, and my special friend Jenny. Dave 36 in the south of China has become my nephew, whom I love and value. There are others of course and some who have drifted away like Baba Soarsky, a very vivacius young lady whose English was somewhat mangled, but her ideas and spirit came across.
It has been my hope, that we (Aunt Mary and I ) have been helpful with advise and comment. Sometimes it helps to have an understanding reader (to listen to your woes so to speak)
All in all I think this forum has been a resounding success. I therefore now raise my glass and express my appreciation and best wishes to " Hong En Company" that has made this possible. Please join me in wishing them a most prosperous and happy New Year.
Most sincerely, Uncle Ben
