My Whereabouts
Dear forum friends,
It's been quite a while since I last wrote here. The recent slump of our forum seeming so frustrating, please allow me to drop a few lines here to try to bring out more activities from you all.
Though not necessarily up to my ears, I can say I have been quite busy. It's true, actually. Things just kept popping up. I had a new Hasee laptop to test for a friend, then one of my favorite PPC's input methods released a new version: Recently winning the Most Innovative Award at the 2009 Mobile Innovation Global Award Competition, Touchpal V3 (English version) really marks a new high in Chinese Windows Mobile devices software industry. So much did I fall for its new Chinese version, I back burnered almost everything else for a couple of days for the test. It sure is one of the most brilliant applications on Windows Mobile handhelds. With the most intuitive and innovative new functionalities Touchpal has to offer, one can literally type faster on a touch-screen cellphone than on a device than features a physical QWERTY keyboard. Testing laptops and cellphone applications is exhilarating, but it can also be badly time consuming. But all together it's a pleasant experience.
Another thing that keeps me busy is my job. We have upgraded our major laboratory apparatus and had a new network software system (Hospital Information System) installed, getting ready for the upcoming full-scale farmers physicals. The campaign two years ago almost caught me in a nightmare, slaving away, badly unprepared for a couple months in a row. We have nearly the same amounts of farmers to come, and the test items are more than they were the last time, but I think we are better armed and prepared this year. Hopefully the physical will be less intensive and I will be able to save a little bit more time for myself. The equiment being spanking new, and with a software system that is totally fresh to us all, we certainly have to keep outselves on the ball and familiarize ourselves to the new system as well as possible.
Poor me. Am I looking for excuses for my absence from our dear forum? But having my hands so full, it's really not that the spirt isn't willing.... Still, let me try something to break the ice.
Hope this works.
Best regards to you all,
Sincerely Yours,
Pan.
