Dear Andy, My name is Hu Jing, a girl in Dong Fang University. In my childhood, I couldn’t speak, as I had no hearing. When I was 7 years old, I was lucky to get special speaking training in China Deaf-Child Rehabilitation Center. Now I am able to talk with people around me freely. But I have some difficulties still made me worried. I can speak English, but I have difficulties learning English pronunciation for I have no hearing, even I have hearing-aid and I didn’t know how to correct my wrong pronunciation. In middle school, I often made some best progress in English. Because I had much interesting in English and studied it hard all by myself. But my spoken English is not good as no one taught me. My classmates often laughed at me, I was not afraid of it at all. I always said myself “They can speak English well, so can I.” To my disappointment, my English teacher was impatient at correcting my pronunciation. In 1996,I was lucky to receive Australian vice-president in Hua Yuan Hotel in Shanghai.When I spoke English, he and his clerks gave me a smile, said that I spoke it very good, and encouraged me to study English hard. From that day on, I was doing my best to learn English hard, especially practiced speaking English over and over again without teachers.Now I am studying Accounting. That day China joins in WTO is coming nearer and nearer. It demands that all the accountants should have the ability to speak English (Business English), operate computer and master accounting. From those I know it is important for me to improve my spoken English. I plan to practice speaking English with a foreign teacher every Saturday from July to August. But I still can’t find a foreign teacher with patience, who can speak Business English. If he or she could be patient to teach me to speak Business English, and correct my wrong pronunciation when I speak, I will correct it then and remember how it pronounce. If I do it well, that is a third change in my life. And I can’t forget the teacher who give me many help and will repay the teacher for his or her kindness.Could you help me to find a teacher as I said?
