Seeking for freedomAuthor: Helen shiThe CD in the Disc man is still rolling. No matter the melody is still resounding in my mind, the alarm clock rings again as usual. Damn! I realized that being late for school will be punished by doing cleaning. And I am such a lazy bone. Then, I pressed the “STOP” button unwillingly. I got up, dressed myself all up. Although I knew there ‘s no use to sleep in that urgent way, I just wanna relax myself.
At the morning ceremony of raising flag, I forced myself opening the sleepy eyes, stick out my back, and listen to their speech. You see, my sweats on the neck. Oh, just take it easy. I comforted myself.
Well, our PE is like a huge dream for us. I seldom can have it, and including my classmates. Therefore, we are very glad to listen to PE teacher’s speech. He hasn’t many words, and we ‘re willing to be a listener of his. Coz he is really humorous, he’s such a cute guy. But this time, something unexpected happened. Oh, he made a speech for whole-class long. Oh, faint…… Let it be, I comforted myself.
On maths lesson, when I was too tired to face to the numbers and algebra, the bell rang in time. Oh, thanks god. I think now what I need is just a catnap. So allow me, please.
This is one of the busy afternoons during my campus life. The life style is acting in a mode, I don’t think the mode will change into the way I like. Though, I hate that, there’s some other senses force me to do like that, and live in that way. I really wanna cry out, but where’s my tears? They are flowing inside my heart ……
Human beings are very tiny, no one can be free, and no one can escape from the regular mode that you are living in; Human beings are contradictory, they claim like “Hurray, freedom! Hurray, liberty!” but they just force their generation to do this or that. Eventually, where’s freedom then? Probably, it was just in fairy tales.
Actually, the freedom I need is very simple. I want a field, which can let me make itinerant living. i want time that I can arrange it myself. I need a condition, just let me create it. And I want a surrounding which I can change it myself.
If I could see the direction of the blue sky, I will fly out of the window at once. For the day of free, I won’t give it up!4 May, 2003
